Family Housing Credit
The programme now operates under the name Family Housing Credit (formerly: Housing without down payment — renamed by law on 1.03.2023). The BGK guarantee replaces the requirement to have a down payment for a mortgage.

Who is the BGK guarantee for?
- People not owning their own apartment or house
- Families with children (also those already owning one small apartment - m2 limits)
- People with creditworthiness
- Singles, couples, and marriages
The program is not a subsidy for installments, but a guarantee of down payment repayment for the commercial bank.
How to benefit?
Commercial banks
You apply for a guaranteed credit directly at banks cooperating with BGK.
Creditworthiness verification
You must have creditworthiness for the full purchase amount of the property.
Questions about the Family Housing Credit
- Is Family Housing Credit the same as Housing without down payment?
- Yes — it is the same programme. From 1 March 2023 only the name was changed by law. Programme conditions remain similar and the credit runs until 2030.
- Is this the same as 0% Credit?
- No, this is a guarantee program. You pay standard interest, but you don't need to have cash for a down payment.
- What are the price per meter limits?
- Provosts announce price limits for individual locations every six months.
